I am honored to share my experience as a scholarship recipient and supporter of the Dr. Michael A. Evans Sr. Scholarship Foundation. As a recipient of this scholarship, I attended Texas Southern University and later earned a double master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University. I am currently a doctoral candidate at Baylor University, continuing my commitment to education and leadership.
Receiving this scholarship played a significant role in my academic journey. It helped alleviate financial burdens, allowing me to focus more fully on my studies and professional growth. Beyond the financial support, it also provided a sense of community—knowing there were individuals who believed in me and were invested in my success made a meaningful difference.

Professionally, I now serve as an Assistant Director in higher education, where I support students in navigating their own postsecondary pathways. My work is rooted in expanding access, fostering opportunity, and pouring back into the same communities that once supported me.
Thank you for continuing to invest in students and for creating pathways that make stories like mine possible.
