We are educators, community advocates, and champions for student success. The Dr. M.A. Evans Scholarship Foundation was created to carry forward the legacy of Dr. M.A. Evans, whose deep commitment to education and community empowerment continues to inspire us every day. Born out of the legacy of a once segregated school system that was MISD, our mission is rooted in action and activating the minds of young people from all strata of society. We don’t just hand out scholarships, we build bridges to opportunity. By partnering with schools, youth organizations, and impactful programs across Mansfield and surrounding communities, we help equip students with the resources, mentorship, and support networks they need to flourish.
We believe in showing up for our students financially, emotionally, and educationally. Whether it’s helping a first-generation college student apply for aid or sponsoring leadership programs like BPA conferences, our focus is always on lifting young people higher. At our core, we are a foundation grounded in love for our community, driven by service, and united by the belief that education changes everything. Our Mission
The Dr. Michael A. Evans, Sr. Scholarship Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Mansfield, Texas. The foundation was founded by Reverend Dr. Michael A. Evans, Sr., a dedicated community advocate and pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Our mission is to “Foster community relations and aid young people in attaining their educational goals.”
